Oskarshamns Hamn buys another Gottwald mobile harbour crane

Port-Trade is proud to announce the sale and delivery of a Gottwald HMK 170 E to Oskarshamn, bringing the number of Gottwald cranes at the port to three.

Oskarshamns Hamn is a thriving port on the South Eastern coast of Sweden, handling a variety of cargo, such as sawn timber for export to Europe and the Middle East, containers, logs, pulp and paper and a range of bulk materials such as wood chips and -pellets, salt, sand etc. Yearly, the port handles approx. 1,5 mio. tons of cargo.

Clean electric power connection

The port has long had an active policy to protect the environment. Therefore, all three Gottwald cranes are equipped with a cable reel, enabling easy plug-in to the 690 V public power supply.

Only Gottwald delivers diesel-electric cranes, which can be directly connected to an external electric power supply, enhancing the already high energy-efficiency of the electric crane drives and further reducing noise and air-pollution, improving the work environment for everyone.

Service agreement

The new crane will be included in the ongoing regular service agreement between Oskarshamns Hamn and Port-Trade.
