GOTTWALD introduces Wide Span Gantry (WSG) Cranes
Continuing in the footsteps of its previous sister company KSR, Gottwald has completely redesigned the lattice wide span gantry crane concept for the Intermodal market.
Orders are in hand for 11 WSG type cranes for intermodal terminals in Italy, Switzerland and Germany.
The first WSG was recently commissioned in Basel, Switzerland, at the COBI Rhine terminal, serving river barges, rail- and road traffic.
The crane is now fully operational and achieves an average of 30 moves per hour on mixed handling.
