Recent deliveries of Timars container handling equipment

Faroe Ship in Torshavn has taken delivery of a Timars Overheight Frame to work with their Gottwald mobile harbor crane model 6407. The overheight frame makes it much easier to handle open top containers and is and can be used on the reachstackers as well as the crane.

The equipment, which is subject to the very rough weather conditions in the Faroe Islands, has proven very reliable. Technical manager Johánn Behrens is very satisfied with the performance of the overheight frame, which is very easy to use by the crane drivers and helps to improve productivity.

Port-Trade has delivered one 20’ and one 40’ Timars semi automatic HCL container spreaders to the Royal Danish Navy, for service on the Ark Forwarder, which operates for NATO all over the world.
HCL spreaders are rectangular frame spreaders, heavier than the Timars lightweight C-Lift spreaders and therefore more stable in windy conditions.

Finnish Port of Kokkola has taken delivery of one 30’ and one 40’ Timars semi automatic C-Lift container spreaders. The spreaders will be used in conjunction with various cranes, operating in Kokkola. Together with the spreaders, Kokkola has bought a Timars Centrelizer, which is a mechanical device enabling the  crane driver to compensate for the out-of-centre gravity point of unevenly laden containers.
